Tennessee native Kellee "Broadway" Fuller has been immersed in the Memphis music and theater scene since she was a child. Having attended performance arts grade schools like Colonial Middle and Overton High, Broadway also found the time to perform in church choirs, local plays, and pageants at the tender age of eight. By the time she was college age, her future path was already clear. In 2012, she received a BFA in Musical Theatre Acting from the University of Mississippi. Broadway's years at Ole Miss were prolific, adding 14 shows to her roster (including Godspell, Rent, Blues For An Alabama Sky, The Drowsy Chaperone, and the opera Suor Angelica) in just four years. Her hard work didn't go unnoticed. One year after graduation, she was honored in her hometown of Memphis with the 2012/13 Ostrander Award for Best Musical Production in recognition of her role in The Color Purple performed at local theater, Playhouse On The Square.
At this point it was time to move to New York City. Despite the difficulty of standing out among the thousands of aspiring performance artists flocking to the Big Apple every year, it wasn't long before her talent was recognized. She worked with Broadway actor, film director Marishka Phillips and "Afro-Panamanian American writer, performer, and educator"... and Darrell Alejandro Holnes, author of Stepmother as well as landing a major part in Laurence Holder's adaptation of Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston. New York also provided the inspiration for Broadway to begin writing her own original material for the stage, collaborating in new musical projects and singing in the New York bar scene. In 2015, she started her first band This Time with Francesco Mosto releasing original music on Soundcloud.
With a growing passion for music, Broadway decided to move from NYC to the 'Live Music Capital of the World' Austin, TX. Here she began working with 2009 Irish Music Video Award Nominee Johnny Holden. This partnership took Broadway's musical prowess to levels akin to her already formidable theater experience. In 2021, she co-founded YOSO LLC, media production company and artists collective. And while music has been a key priority for Broadway of late she has always kept one foot firmly in theater, working as an actor, choreographer, director in Austin's burgeoning theatre community where she is a key player in Spectrum Theatre Company, Brown Boy Productions, Groundfloor Theatre, and Malum Malus Burlesque, Shea Butter Babies Burlesque. Recently YOSO, LLC produced Las FLores Bebajo Burlesque.
